Remember To Forget

Post by lastlifedreamer » May 11th, 2016, 12:15 pm

Forgetting to remember has led me down this ghost path
I once knew what it meant to truly explore dreams
Seems so simple to just ignite our inner child
But a child listens only to those whom inspire or give in return
As do I

And so…once again…the chase begins

Turning eyes inward…creating that gloss we often associate with a soldier’s memory…And equally with new love…no one is really there anymore…This is what the world sees…The world is nothing but a physical plane to challenge us to become more than we believe we are…It is not until we truly believe in ourselves that we can see the real world…the one beneath the painted mask before us.

Spring brings back that cracked and aging bulb…injects its power of rebirth into its once bright filament…and sets forth to ignite a new path with vigor and purpose…a path that was always there but never visible until now.

Our first steps are almost always a stumble…when we walk with fear

So we close our eyes to our past…retreat into the darkest corners of our mind…and find new imagination

And when they open…we see again as a child

Forgetting to remember is not the same and remembering to forget

A new door is open…when you are ready to step through……

Lock it behind you

This was a really cool piece and so true. When you look at children, everything to them is new and I guess innocent in how they see the world. They aren't afraid to dream or imagine. Somewhere as we grow older we lose this trait and things become jaded, we start to see falsehood or sometimes mask things we are afraid of others knowing, we are told that dreams are stupid and to leave them. This piece highlighted that and also that it isn't too late to change your thinking and see the world through different eyes. Well written and thanks for sharing

This was truly a piece that delves into the human spirit..but again, when we were children simple pleasures, games, and our imaginations seemed aglow with promise.Yes, you are so right about fear paralyzing our dreams and hopes. Each life is different, whether famous, infamous or anonymous. You told a deep and memorable story, and such a great spotlight choice...So enjoyed and TY...Tangie...

The theme of rebirth is what I get here - starting over.
The imagery of the old bulb and spring and the path that was always there is remarkable...
well done on the spotlight!

Filled with so many truths, fears and emotions but ultimately filled with hope and a sence of the ingenuity of the human spirit. enjoyed, thanks
