Drinking matured wine
painting purple crusts-
on love and lips,
marrying breaths to bubbles.
Bothered rims
provoked by falling ripples,
shining satiation-
A summer glint
embellish the glitter,
Fancies of the men around
forged through
dying lights.
Winter follows,
with drafts,
erosive caress-
slipping in haste.
over glass and lips.
Cyclic thus,
the glass partakes of-
emotive heart.

I Die everytime you gaze
a little longer,
Wish I could
but you are so transparent,
Sigh!

Good to have you back. I enjoyed this immensely, there's such a beauty to your words, a delicacy that is quite wonderful.

Very nice imagery simply love the last line of the first stanza. That putting lips to the drink (whatever drink it is). /takes up bottle to drink/ ><

I don't drink wine but if I did, this poem would make me want some. Sounds like a very pleasant experience.
