This poem reminded me of how winter blows with a heavy forceful voice..while spring has a soft lilting voice. The lovely details in your poem add a freshness and joy that make it the ideal spotlight choice..Congrats to you.

The carefree pace makes it memorable - well done jerry.

Tangie,
you are very kind. Yes, winter personified is a rude, grumpy old man, while spring is the gentle youth accompanied by warmth, blue skies and gentle breezes. My favorite time of the year. Thank you for your nice comment and congrats,

What stood out to me most from this one was how the speaker took their cue from the seasonal change; much like spring brings out the colours of nature, the spirits of the speaker seemed to noticeably brighten.
While the imagery in this is excellent, and it's very easy to appreciate the poem for that element alone, it's the spirit of the speaker which I found most infectious.
I really enjoyed the energy and boundless joy of your words.
Congratulations on the spotlight!

I am glad the hitherto bored boy was able to unshackle himself from wintery bonds to rush
into the arms of nearing Spring. I felt like I was right there enjoying the rabbits, flying the kite and listening to the harmonica.

Thank you, Josie;]
I'm truly pleased and honored you were able to share those reflections with me. Spring once again is here, at least in this part of the country; yesterday we had 87 degrees F here in the valley. Granted, it's a bit early, but welcome. I appreciate your comment,

A happy time for you for sure. I hope some of your friends were with you as you played your harmonica - such a great instrument.

Indeed a picture of contentment. Nice way to celebrate the spring with a little tune on your harmonica.
