Totally Inconsiderate
"You woke me up at midnight.
I told you your curfew is 10.
I had to get out of bed to open the door.
Don't let it happen again.
I am trying to talk to you.
I don't think you've even heard."
The scottie dog just hung his head
And never said a word.
I told you your curfew is 10.
I had to get out of bed to open the door.
Don't let it happen again.
I am trying to talk to you.
I don't think you've even heard."
The scottie dog just hung his head
And never said a word.

Re: Totally Inconsiderate
At first I thought it was some sort of teenager (human), but I liked the dog ending as well too.
I wonder if it's possible to train dogs to tell time o_O

Thank you all for your replies and Alan of course dogs can learn to tell time. They just need the right teacher.

Jamielou;
I don't have that problem with our two obnoxious dogs. My wife always lets them out while I sleep the sleep of the righteous. Yours is an amusing poem; much liked.

Makes me think of a mother having to answer the call of her wee child. Maybe the husband should answer the call net time.

Ha, Ha!
I think the dog is the one in charge. The ending was a good twist and took me away from remembering those years of being a mom to teenagers. I could not go to sleep until all the family members were in for the night. The only time my husband took charge was when he thought I was 'too charged emotionally' and he would usher me to bed and talk calmly to 'one' who stayed out late.
