all I want
is to be boundless.
like a pile of frequencies. i
don't want to bend myself on
antennas, i want to be radio
waves radiating in space.
impossible and made of photons.
moving through intergalactic gas.
i want to feel Warm like plasma.
i want to see the sun in utero;
i want to watch as interstellar clouds collapse
like a rupture of the amnion.
i want to wear supernovas
and swim in a torus of water
vapor, and dust, around the central
black hole. i want to meditate
inside its amputated voids
of space-time; i want to be
there when galaxies collide
and run my fingers through the quasar.
i want to witness more than these skies;
not sentimental, unremembered
matter. musing over molecules.
i want to meander
without feet,
without weight,
i am tired of my submissions
on walking under other people's gravity,
i want to be above the ground
i want to become wind-like.
all I want is to be boundless

Re: all I want is to be boundless
I'm in love with this. It has a definite weightlessness about it, and it isn't just because of the subject matter. The fact that this is an OM kind of blows me away. The thoughts are abstract, yes-- but, the way they connect is seamless. Lots of solid lines in here that struck me. Quality work and a lovely read. Thanks for sharing!

Your title hooked me. Your piece kept me engaged. I really, really liked your your prose and word choice. I audibly reacted to,
"i want to meditate
inside its amputated voids
of space-time; i want to be
there when galaxies collide
and run my fingers through the quasar."
Something along the lines of, "Wooow."
I would love to hear this performed. Brilliant piece. I'll keep an eye out for more from you.

You had me from the radio imagery. I will forever have a soft-spot for it. But I really enjoyed this piece as a whole, that sense of wanting to be lighter, to be without limits and completely free to roam and feel and explore the world in a different way.
Nice work!

Holy hot damn this was excellent. I love how the celestial imagery captures the experience of infinity. How friggen amazing it would be to experience such things. It'd be like watching those cosmology documentaries that visually recreate things like stars going supernova or black holes going off and sucking everything - even time - into their vortex but in the flesh! Running your finger over it, feeling it literally and figuratively. Hot damn I love it.

An excellent and expansive visual journey through the void Damaso. This was infused with so many wonderfully original metaphors of both medical and scientific observations, that I was with a sense of wonderment. Other's people's gravity will crush you on Earth as well as Jupiter - cheers! - Dan
