I love the revelation of your reticence at the poem's resolution...revoking the rehearsed revolt against reprobation.Heh.
"horribly" for me conveys a sort of disgust for either the impossibility of perfection, or for the ugliness of false perfection. Either way, I enjoyed this. Gave me the foreshadowed image of a grumpy curmudgeon shouting bible verses at girls in short skirts while pretending not to notice.
