A foolish heart
Returns,
The toothless lion,
Colonized by regret.
But he has found his bite again.
The strength
Of his jaws,
Gathers slowly—
A twinge of fear; before the first test
Of his roar.
Now he is hungry, and the King
Will take back
His prides.

Prides as the plural form suggests - methinks the king might be a tad greedy? Meanwhile the young lions all play video games. Cheers Damaso - this was a great metaphor for the status quo, and something lost - Dan

Hunger is a great stimulus for action or poetry. Meat satisfies one type of hunger, only words work for the other. Hunt on!
