From the depths I arrive, bound only by a song,
Into the day, as sounds envelope me.
Search through the tapestry, which string do I find?
Between the strings the mystery will unwind.
The song grows louder and from it a new strength.
Back to the depths I go, the mystery follows me.
Find yourself on a desert plain
Find yourself in the pouring rain
Find yourself on a crowded plane
Find yourself next to a lighted flame
The years sprinkle on, I travel light for a time,
Then once again, sounds envelope me.
Search through the tapestry, which string do I find?
Between the strings the mystery did unwind.
The song grows louder and from it a new hope.
Back to the depths I go, the mystery I can see.
Find yourself on a desert plain
Find yourself in the pouring rain
Find yourself on a crowded plane
Find yourself next to a lighted flame
With well worn treads, I sit for a while,
Peaceful though it sounds, I'm not alone.
My piece of the tapestry, almost complete.
Between the strings, I see the greater part.
The song is done, and from it the life I've lived.
Back to the depths I go, the mystery now in me.
