Re: Aborting Lucy
Abortion is so sad... The person who is having the abortion often regrets their decision for the rest of their life. :/

Zombie~I had to come and see why this had gotten so many comment's and now it's understandable...Truly a tragedy and God love you for writing it from the male's perspective of this tragic event...I'm very sorry if this happened to you, it is indeed a grievous situation....Musie

This poem explores a point of view not often looked at, something that people should take a look at more often. Your poem conveyed the pain of what you must be going through. You projected your feelings of frustration and helplessness onto the reader. This poem might one of the saddest that I have ever read. It's true that it is half yours but it is also a sad fact that it is her decision. I will be praying for all three of you.

Zombie,
I had to visit for a second time. I so admired and respected what you had written than when I saw it was being read actively again, I knew I had to re-read your creation. Not only does this grab the heart and soul, it grabs the conscience as well. "What do I do?" "What does she do?" "What do we do?" "What's the right thing to do?" Questions of conscience flood the brain. Once again, though a tough, serious and givingly sad subject, your words have presented a gentle and but gut-wrenching slant on this issue. For a second time, BRAVO! , my friend.

Re: Aborting Lucy
I totally agree with the men having some sort of say so, but I have heard storied of such men that were cowards and said here is $200 bucks and 'get rid of it' and stay away from me. Real father material there. No one all men are like that. I'm just saying I think the reaction a woman gets for the man involved maybe drives her to a certain decision. What woman wants to hear the words mistake, or I have no desire to be with you much less raise a child with you. just my two cents or two pence! A really well penned piece that gets people taking and I love when a write had that effect on others! Great work! Glad I read this one! Well done and I am glad you shared this one with us!

Re: Aborting Lucy
this is a very touchy delicate subject and a very sad poem to say the least. i think men are to blame for most of the abortions anyhow. tho sometimes women are not ready for the big responsibility of a child either. men often force women to get abortions because they are cheating on another or maybe econimics come into play; or even that the couple is too young or not mature enough to raise a child yet - afterall a child is a huge big responsibility. i could say more but feel men should have a say also. if the woman tells the man it is her choice only and the man disagrees it was probably a mistake to experience a union together in the first place. i believe in reincarnation and karma so what you do will come back to you i believe. besides you never know what life will dictate to you. i do however feel it is the woman's right to abort if she chooses so even if i disagree because it is her body afterall and really i have no say over a women's body unless i am married to thelady and that is a whole different can of worms anyway. if a fetus is aborted many years later regret happens because of a conciousness to both responsible parties. women i believe it is a women's choice and her ody before you get upse wth my remarks.
zombie i feel for you...

ps. this is very sad as well as a tragedy.

Zombie,
I have comments previously on the absolutely fabulous creations! I just wanted to add my congrats on this piece finally getting to the Spotlight. Very much deserved. Right where it should be, other than bookmarked by everyone! I have already done so. A one of a kind write. A one of a kind read. Thanks so much for allowing all of us to share in your talent.

This poem was raw and unfiltered. The emotions were right at the skin of the poem, inviting the reader inside. Truly, it was heartbreaking and haunting work. Congrats on the spotlight!

Thank you all very much. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
I'm a little shocked to be in the spotlight though. I've never been one for crowds.

Re: Aborting Lucy
I liked your choice to have the N be the male and share his viewpoint before and after the abortion. You tackled one of our society's major concerns. Thank you for sharing and gaining TPS Spotlight recognition.
