I like the energy in this piece. Some of the lines have a sway to them themselves, which is awesome. I quite like this. Congrats on your spotlight.

After all the positive comments, I can only say this poem is where it was meant to be. Being Irish didn't help appreciate it to it's full.

Yes C2W a good read, evocative, atmospheric. Old jazz and blues are my door into this poem. And thanks for the new vocabulary, "original gangster", don't know if I'll ever use it but good to know it.

The Delta Sway indeed! Did I miss this the first time? How annoying! Ah well, I'm hella glad I got to read it now. I was particularly won over by the ending, but I suppose that wouldn't have had half the impact if you hadn't have built to that point with such a winderfully alluring diction and such an electric way with words. I love it! A wholehearted congratulations on the Spotlight!! Very much deserved.
