Ooh, lovely imagery! The environment influences our moods and actions much more than we give it credit for. Really great write.

Jim,
are you published? if you are not, major haiku journals are
lacking some of the best quality writing.

Some stories remain untold because here is no receptive ear. I think the notion of inscribing the ear is wonderful.

Love that last line. And the first...and second. You catch my drift, this was a beautifully written haiku.

another one that got me right there! In this case, I felt it in the place at the top of my chest where one begins to sing.

Amazing. *Someone* should publish you!

Dearest Jim, what a beautiful Haiku and a brilliant metaphor. Sometimes we just need a kind person like
you to listen. But for some that is hard to find. A truly great write my friend.

Much Love And Respect,

A most intimate feeling conjured here, Jim, so well befitting the subject and feeling created of anthropomorphic love and connection...

One Haiku=Haiku. Two Haiku=haiku. Not haikus or haiku's. Thank you.

Wow! I'm sorry I missed this one on the boards! Thank goodness for second chances! You have a new fan here... A great haiku!!! Congratulations on the spotlight pick of the week, it is much deserved! And I've found a new fave writer on top of all of the other great things here! It's like you win for your work, but I win as well because I get to read your work. Best part about TPS is all of the great poetry at our hands... amazing!

This is a poem which begs for a reply, I mean that not only in terms of a response on a poetry site but in terms of being the expression you long to hear when the words are stuck inside and you know they must be said. "soft-spoken winds" is such a fine metaphor, it makes me ponder if the speaker knows some of what they are asking to hear won't be pleasant, yet still does so nonetheless.
Congratulations on the spotlight!

I'll have to be honest,Jim and say that I know very little about Haiku. However ,I'm happy to join the ranks of those who do and have praised your work. Congratulations to you,

Wow, this was just incredible, JIm. So much said with so few words - just a perfect Haiku and so very deserving of the spotlight - well done!
