Thank you very much william. The only thing better than praise is understanding.

This is a tragic event for all involved. Probably most of us have had would be suicides or actual suicides in our families or have been a witness to the pain experienced by our friends with their families. Talk about a loss for words and not wanting to cause more pain. it lasts for years. Some little thing will trigger memories or feelings of guilt. I do not have answers. Thank you for your honest sharing and willingness to approach this subject.

generictruth~I don't believe I've read you before, but it is no wonder as to why this hit the Spotlight! The anger is indeed strongly felt in the reading of this piece, and justified, when you truly put your heart in to a relationship and for not...the imagery in this made for a very heart wrenching read....Very well written indeed. Congratulations on a well deserved Spotlight....Musie

I like the idea of 'kissing wrists' until burdens go away. It's a bit of a warm sentiment for an otherwise really bitter write. Awesome worm with this. Congrats on your spotlight!

While this is penned in a direct fashion, I think there is still subtlety and some beautifully poetic lines which provide a deep insight into this relationship and the speaker's frustration. That frustration seeps out at me, but it's done in a way which only serves to highlight the sadness of offering anything and everything you can to someone in need, only for them to hide away and forget that someone cared enough to want to be there for them.
Those final two lines took this poem to the next level for me, they were a beautiful image.
Congratulations on the spotlight.
