Exalt!!!

Sometimes I see a little idea, so well executed, that it screams for applause! Bravo! I think you know you created something timelessly special! Wonderful!

Dearest Hope, you really nailed this. Very few words but so true. I really love this , people standing around
like it is a cocktail party pretending they are interested in the paintings. A very clever write my friend .

Much Love,
Lynn

Excellently written! In some cases too, there are those portraits who's eyes seem to follow you no matter where you stand. great work here. I loved it!

It takes a certain talent to be able to paint a Portrait whose eyes follow the reader across the page in so few words. You set the stage, displayed your central Star, and satisfied our curiosity to a satisfied ending, all in 6 words. Excellent. Thanks and congratulations on the Spotlight.

Your poem reminded me of 'Is it two faces or a vase?" Thank you for such a wonderful treat!

This deserves a spotlight. The simplest ideas are sometimes the best. And I think this form was the perfect way to express this idea, more words would have lessened your poem's impact.

Make fellow poets happy and comment on their poems.

It's so inconstant and impure yet so devastating...Unoriginal yet elegant and an amusing curiosity.Poetry defined

A really clever piece, potentially layered with multiple meanings and contexts, which is particularly credible with so few words. Maybe the portrait gallery isn't an art display, but a metaphor for the eyes who watch the visitors. I've been in a few places like that!
Congratulations on the spotlight!

There are several layers of meaning in this apparently simple piece. Many social situations involve "painted faces" staring at the person walking in.
A well written poem, and a good choice for the spotlight.
