Catching moonbeams, night is the time for music.
Marvel not how beautiful echoes calm us -
sounds of midnight, Beethoven’s magnum opus,
Moonlight Sonata.
Playing keyboard, classical music soothes me.
Subtle movements, intricate, triple rhythm,
hypnotizing melody - nuts and bolts that
fascinate dreamers.
Sapphic stanza is three lines of verse which are 11 syllables each... trochee, trochee, dactyl, trochee, trochee and then a shorter concluding line (5 syllables) of dactyl, trochee, known as the Adonic or adonean line.

This is beautiful! There is no image here that doesn't fit very well with the rest of them, and you did great by a very rich theme.
The form is very interesting. Thanks for exposing me! Nice poem!

Re: Moonlight Sonata (Sapphic stanza)
An impressive work of heart...totally faithful to the metre without lost meaning or forced words. Truly, a delight to inspect! And the feel of it was magical, I don't even play but imagined awhile that I could. Glad you included the explanation...this ancient form is new to me...blame my shallow education - dew

The strictness of the form did not limit the composer. I especially liked the triplets in 11 syllables.
Glad it is in the spotlight - I would likely never have run across it in the archives.

Beautifully done, sticking to the form brilliantly and never letting it show, nice one and a most deserving spotlight, Sean.

Re: Moonlight Sonata (Sapphic stanza)
You did well not to let the form of the piece dictate an awkward overall flow. What I mean is that this didn't sound like it was written by someone who helped innovate the style way back when. I wonder, is the narrator a dreamer as well? Either way, well done and congrats.
