Idyll

Post by created2write » May 20th, 2012, 7:56 pm

Engage me, or better yet, let me engage you
in the outrageous ventures of my mind
come share my soft if hard is your way, let
me sway and swirl you gently

Or if you care to explore; I implore you look
southward with me, can you see what I see?
it’s a honey suckle tree, with bees all abuzz
making honey to mix with pleasure

Smile I’ll do the rest and test your theory of
pessimism with my rainbow wares- I come in
a pair of shes, changing by degrees as the
breeze warrants

I’m only ever heard as a haunting lyric played
on the flute of ancients, a faint but steady
rhythm in the blood that begs to differ
for the sake of knowing

Let me engage you, or you might do the honors
if you wish, as kisses are born of do overs and
shared sunrises that break the dawn
all too soon

A very nice piece, even if it was a bit profound, as djk said.

that was awesome, i really can't think of anything that i would do to make it better, the imagery was great and word choice was really good, just a great poem.

I really liked this stanza the best, just very witty and great choice of words.

You had me at "Engage me, or better yet, let me engage you"!
I love it when the playful, seductive C2W side comes out to play, it's a special experience for this reader, and I sense that there is a side to this poem which is made to entice and brighten the day with the superb imagery, which is always closely linked to emotion and seeing new perspective in the world.
Another poem from you which makes me smile from ear to ear.

Very subductive yet lyrical. I like how you go back and forth trying to see who wants to be the initiate. nice writing.

Hi my friend. You are such a naughty girl....and I LOVE it! The sensual imagery has me melted, I was going to say melting, but I have already liquidised! As ever, you hold words and flow with such precision and seduction, it feels, like always, such an honour to read you. So bloody sexy may I add! Brilliant.

Dave

Hey C2W,

'forever' like the Dawn,
is always too soon in its arrival;
when all we are left with
are the midnight sighs,
and memories of Passions kiss.

Excellent work here. excellent work indeed.
