i see miracles

Post by testove » April 19th, 2012, 5:36 pm

The bird’s shadows darken my manicured
lawn for a simple split second ,I frame it
In my mind a momentary miracle unheld
But kept in the compartment

I feel the pacific breezes blowing
Through the Altamont’s windmilled door
And I smell it, taste it, heal with it
Never held but kept in that moment

I hear my children laughing
I hear them bringing in spring baskets
Of funny questions and commands
Tiny dictators of their worldly problems

They are never kept but held to me
Like the true token of tangible creation
The natural miracle that marvels the maker
By numerous degrees of magnificence.

"Tiny dictators of their worldly problems "

Love this line, so very perfect! I enjoyed the entire write. It carried me back, away from my issues of the day. Even for a moment I remembered mine as tiny dictators before they assume the supreme ruler roles they now carry! Thanks for a most enjoyable and lovely read! -LMB xoxo

These same lines grabbed me as well:
I hear them bringing in spring baskets
Of funny questions and commands
Tiny dictators of their worldly problems
This is an outstanding poem, stringing snippets of life into a cohesive vision so vividly! Bookmarked for further reading!

Beautiful, and worthy of the spotlight. It is always in the simple and the pure that miracles are seen. Love your title too. V

I don't believe it. Finally after all these years i made it. Thank you all so much you don't even know how long i have wanted to be here. Thank you Thank you thank you. I would like to thank the Administration, all the great moderators we have, i want to thank my fans, i think there are 2 of them, thanks guys. i want to thank my mother and father who made my life what it is, as it is.

Seriously though i would like to thank all of you at The Poet's Sanctuary. You have always made me feel like i was with friends here and in this fast paced electronic world that is not a small feat. I have always felt supported and validated here and i think we all thrive for that, if not just a little, in our writing. Let's work hard to make our new house a home here at The Poet's Sanctuary and WOO HOO I DID IT MOM!!!!

The writer hovers around the idea of capturing those wonderful moments alluded to in the poem, an all too human approach to the awesome scope of nature and aesthetics. This poem touches on the subject of poetry itself with a high standard of writing and i personally enjoyed it. Looking forward to your next contribution

Testove.....your gentle soul shines through your words brightly and this was such a wonderful piece. Congratulations. I know what you mean when you long to be recognized and highlighted. Modesty keeps us all from verbalizing that too much, but recognition from your peers, people you hold in very high esteem as examples to which you aspire, is, indeed, quite an honor, and a heart-filling pat on the back. You deserve it my friend. Congrat again.

Great line as said earlier. In today's global society this is a perfect social reference. Excellent work.
