Gone Forever

Post by LorettaYoung » April 29th, 2014, 9:22 pm

Gone Forever
at last..It's true!
No More a Ghost
to fill with curried
Spice, and all my
Love for you
(enticed from Fairy
Dust, to Cold Black
ice)

There was No
Fighting Destiny.
Already I had
Gone before, but
then returned
(compulsively)
for more

I've felt such
emptiness before
When your insides
are outside
(or on the floor)
and within you
feel you are No
More

A strange, and
Curious Reality,
to know Love's
true finality.
I told you it
would Break Me
to see you Go,
but I lingered
(and you let me
do so)

Breathless is the place
we can't retrieve,
those Steps.
without Reprieve
for it's an upside
down connection
at loss for A Direction
as our lives evolve
into this separate, new
complexion

Gone Forever
and the traces
trail behind like
sacred memories
in a secret place
(to hide)

An emotional release after
A turbulent journey torn by
Indecision or dare I say it
Those traces of love that
cling in corners like
Yesterdays webs a subdued
read on a thought provoking
Theme

I believe we sometimes leave in stages, perhaps to pave the way for that final curtain. Meanwhile we observe others around us, living and dying, separating and re-uniting, and begin to come to grips with our own mortality maybe. Timing is everything perhaps, with the always alluring another tomorrow. Cheers Loretta, and condolences, for this poignant piece to ponder.

Thank you dwells, I didn't see your answer before. Very sensitive evaluation, but Gone Forever, now many how many times I say it never goes away. Loretta

Congratulations on the spotlight pick of the week Loretta, it is much deserved! This piece is so well penned, I'm not at all surprised it was chosen. Love the wording and the clever poetic devices you used throughout the write, it made for a great read that I truly enjoyed! Well done!

Hi kindred spirits: I am so overwhelmed and grateful for this. That my work can be of interest to all of you pro's out there, I am so humbled by. As a relative new starter my enchantment with language grows and so much I read here is of inspiration. Thank you for more than making my day. Best, Loretta

I am moved by the finality in this piece. The poignancy of what's past and as such irretrievable is made universal. Love that lives in our memories alone can be a source of pain or release. torment or the enjoyment of what has been. I think you did a good job of demonstrating both.

Thank you very much; especially appreciate your comments on the closing stanza, which to my mind brings it all together; and that which I tear my hair out over every time. lol. Best Loretta
