I'm trying to find my way on this earth
pounding my feet upon the cold hard rock
up and down
left and right
I wander
Until I come to you
standing all alone
a flower
in a desolate place
I look in your eyes and see death
destroyer
I cringe and crumble underneath your gaze
and yet I am intrigued
I know I shouldn't touch but my hand has a mind of it's own
as it reaches up to touch your porcelain face
searing pain shoots up my arm and my fingers begin to turn to ash
they fly away into the wind
freedom
my eyes locked on yours
I wince and smile
I realize that my journey has come to an end
We stay together
for as long as it takes for my body to disintegrate

AT - a wonderful work on the forbidden and the foreboding that holds its own magnetic or animal attraction that often times is irresistible, though we know it ends badly. Cleverly depicting a doomed romance and the metaphor of ashes blown to the wind was perfect, cheers for this destruction in The Darkness!
