Wow....knocked me down! What a thought! Who but you would see a familiar bug and think 'my countryman!' while far from home? This is without a doubt one of my favorite ku's! AWESOME! -dew

I like the elevation of the ordinary here.

If at first you don't succeed, try second, third, or shortstop.

i like the picture here so much like your friend didn't forget you ..
that was pretty cool poem the fact that you and the dragonfly met makes it a small world
which intensifies the title that was strong poem

cheers..TIW

lovely haiku godsplat, I love dragonflies. but the title......going to be singin' that awful song all day....it's a small world after all...oh no

Hey godsplat! Great poem indeed. Well deserved of the spotlight. Congratulations dude! I guess we truly do live in a small world. I know right? Your poem totally covered the entire theme with few words. Always a pleasure.

Hello there,
Thank you - I finally understand what Haiku is about and can connect with it. A valuable lesson learned in a beautiful way.

In friendship,
Eric.

I am happy you had a positive experience. Mosquitoes do not hum in Texas. I appreciate the ones in California because I knew when they were near me. Congratulations on the TPS Spotlight.
