A Neruda in me
Longs for good bye.

I Know not what the spring does
But i want your warmth
In life's dark winters.

First of all, I hope you are familiar with the movie, "Il Postino" (The Postman) which is about Neruda's relationship with the person who brings him mail during his period of exile. It's a very charming and poignant film.

Each of your poems evokes powerful images and invitations to deeper feelings. I'm always amazed by how potent words can be to allow this kind of brevity and, at the same time, resonance.

I had not heard of Pablo Neruda but I feel like these haiku can be given meaning even without knowledge of the man. The third haiku even seems to reference this slightly. The second one was my favourite though. Greatly enjoyed!
