There's One in Every Family

Post by jamielou » August 8th, 2014, 7:36 pm

My smart-aleck brother
Is always messing with my head.
"I have to get off the phone
And go to work, "he said.
Knowing he's been retired for years
I naturally asked him, "Where?"
He said, "I'm going into the den
And put a rear end in a chair."

Not a bad reponse. Full of humor I'd say.

sounds like a lot of work. my grandfather retired but he seems to do more work in his garden than he ever did when he was working. he doesnt make the same money though.

As my dad says, it's not old age that kills, it's retirement, so get off the phone and let your brother work.

Thanks you all for reading this. Putting that rear end in a chair was not work.

the moon is in our soul,
each day may change,
am just hoping to be here, for awhile,
for each sunrise and sunset.

Now that's nice work. Where do I apply? What are the hours, etc.etc. etc? Good humor.
