Secrets of a planet that's been hidden in space
Can go forever hidden from the universe
But orbits change and moons eclipse the stars in the sky
And light from that rock can be observed
The fabric of reality is hidden in time
The physics of our mind have been concealed
But pockets of our memories are held in our eyes
Where demensions that's unknown are revealed
Beware of things you think you know and humble yourself
The blackness of the void can't be removed
Sometimes the ones you think you love live all by themselves
In galaxies far away from your view
Rest assured I've seen a star observed from afar
Through a black hole in the middle of the sky
It swallowed up my consciousness and sent me to live
On the secret planet of Emily Crye

This to me has a mysterious feel to it. The first line pulled me in and the third stanza stood out to me. Nice write!

I have to agree with Karrie, the 3rd stanza was amazing, the piece in entirety was wonderful too. I like the flow it has and the astronomic analogies. Thank you for sharing it.

I don't know if this really fits in angst exactly. Seems more like the hidden workings of someone.

There's a quiet sort of looming ominous to this that captures my attention. Great wording - rich complexity woven in, the third stanza does real very smoothly and the last closes so nicely! The lines here are so strong and vivid.

To me this seemed to speak about the unimaginable scope of the universe but rather than being held back by it, I felt an underlying respectful tone. The piece, much like its subject matter, doesn't give itself away but can be enjoyed without understanding the full extent of its content. Well penned!

Good images and I like how you use the planatary refferences and reflections on the universe.
For me it seemed a bit esoteric, meaning that it seemed to indicate a certain spiritual vallue other than religion. It felt like a deeper layer being behind the words. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Secret World of Emily Crye
Its a really interesting read.
My favorite lines without a doubt were :
'Beware of things you think you know and humble yourself
The blackness of the void can't be removed
Sometimes the ones you think you love live all by themselves'
This thing I could actually relate to real life.To people.
Really nice work.

Fascinating poem. In one hand cosmic and mesmerising while on the other deeply personal and riddled with angst.
Well done on a most deserving spotlight
