• Memory.
  
  slide a finger over my lips,
  glide over my breasts
  and down over my thighs.
  
  breathe me.
  
  you make me feel alive-
  i want to feel alive-
  
  and at least when it's over,
  and my hearts no longer racing,
  
  i'll have a memory,
  which is life enough for me.

I think you already know how much I love this poem, right? Much like a fine wine it only gets better with age and some time to chill. Although it's hard not to get swept away with the bold images, the grandness of the expression and the speaker's racing pulse, it is the subtlety of a line like "breathe me" which acts as the counterpoint to the raging desire.
More than a mere 'memory', this is memorable poetry.

Hi Flamey. As usual, Mick has outdone everybody with a fantastic review! Not that I could disagree with one word. This is my kinda poetry, minimal with an underlying touch of a poetess. Bathed in sensual passion, one that is trying to be restrained, but cannot, it seeps and oozes with such confident reflection. I adored this, every single word.

Well uh..(adjusting clothing) yea this was a stimulating affair here. As with myself, I probably would always post in The Heart it would be my instinctive nature to post here but I'm trying to focus on other sides of my writing needs to be developed but I'll come back to my first enjoyment in writing love poems....

Sensuality is perhaps the most difficult thing to get right in poetry. I think you pitched it perfectly here.
I like how you touched on the notion of memory, it's a more complicated subject than is often realised.
Some things we remember, but most things we merely know that they happened.
