How Can?
Post
by LiLpencil » November 16th, 2012, 6:03 pm
How Can? ©
How can one instant be agony and bliss?
How can this love possibly exist?
How can one hope be so dichotomous?
How can one soul be both full and damn bottomless?
How can one faith both sing and cry tears?
How can one moment bring triumph and fear?
How can one mind think such disparate thoughts?
How can one spirit soar yet be caught?
How can one heart fall again and again?
How can one body carry the pain?
How can one vow be so defiant?
How can one will be so compliant?
How can one wish be frail and insistent?
How can this love be so damn persistent?
How can one endure?
How can one survive?
How can one be two
and keep itself alive?

Great rhyme and pretty smooth read. I loved the question "How can this love be so damn persistent" as it's one I ask myself often. Much enjoyed,

Congrats on a d--- good write! The flow and rhyme gave great pleasure! bottomless and dichotomous? That was wonderful! Sent my brain doing flip flops. Beautiful read with some real-life questioning, more complex than I'm used to seeing...the last two lines were brilliant! Loved it! - Dew

I guess, those questions are the very part of living this life, alot of people put those questions in front of them, seeking answers, where some are answered, and some still linger in the air.
Neat rhyming, and intriguing work!

Nicely written!
An age old question that is still haunting men and women today, or what passes for those sexes in our present society! LOL!! A really enjoyable read that makes one aware of the ever changing nature of any and all relationships!

Well done. You have given me a lot to think about. Every single question is a good question. Congratulations on the spotlight. Well deserved!

Nice Lil p. congrats on the light !!
It's as if you are randomly throwing all those questions out there,
with no real hope of an answer...

Perhaps the answers create more questions, as knowledge begets, seemingly, an inkling that one knows nothing much at all. Dot dot dot

This poem poses a lot of great questions. Congrats on your spotlight!

I could not help but think of that song 'I gave my love a cherry'. It has a middle part with 'how can' questions and the third part ends with an answer. Congratulations on the TPS Spotlight!

Reads a little like a song to my ears. Nicely done.
