As a Rainbow
As a rainbow,
you color my clouds.
Draped in them,
you reach
the blueness of skies.
And then you vanish–
dissolving into memory
and vagabond mist.
Yet the mountain
of your impact stays,
soaring with the wings
of paradox and dream.
And the imagination’s secrets
glow with the incandescence
of roses in bloom.
As a rainbow,
you color my clouds.
Draped in them,
you reach
the blueness of skies.
And then you vanish–
dissolving into memory
and vagabond mist.
Yet the mountain
of your impact stays,
soaring with the wings
of paradox and dream.
And the imagination’s secrets
glow with the incandescence
of roses in bloom.

I loved the mixed images associated with elevation...and the juxtaposition of fleeting and lasting ideas. You tied it all together in a lovely piece! so short but so much packed inside! This was a delightful peek into love CK! Adored it! - dew

Now this is poetry!
Something one can sink one's teeth into and savor the sweetness of each line! Very nicely written!

Re: As a Rainbow
This was an unusual poem for me that reflected on the deep sadness of having to say goodbye to a lady that touched the lives of many children with the free gifts of her time, talents, and love. She was the rainbow and 'the mountain of her impact lingers. That is where your words took me. Congratulations on the TPS Spotlight.

This read felt dream-like soft in satin sheets. Those dreams from which you wish you hadn't been awoken. Very nicely written.
