A full moon grins over Venice.
A hungry wolf,
Hiding behind a porcelain mask,
Stalks a beauty down the stairs.
She is carefree and carried by the breeze.
As the wolf follows her,
Hers is the lightest step.
Although he unmasks himself,
She glides on turquoise water.
She is the night as dark as gondolas.
