My favorite time of year
When the air is crisp;
Death is bringing forth new life
And we are contemplating renewed love
Bridging the gap between distance and trust

I'll remember you
Because of the way you say my name
How you avoid my questions,
Then satisfy me with humor

Time doesn't change,
The neighborhood our hearts dwell in
Or the cinematic scene we created,
When we crossed into our alternate reality

I really liked this piece. The imagery and descriptions are lovely. I really liked the use of the bridge metaphor throughout. The fourth stanza was my favorite, but there are a number of solid lines that stood out while I was reading.

the theme here is the "transmigration of souls." No physical love in heaven? No kissing and touching? No wonder my religious belief is less than lukewarm.
