Image

And when we meet,
At our arranged place
In another time
Another dimension
I'll recognize you right away

From your gait
The smile I hear in your voice
The way you toy with my innocence
I'll be waiting for your tell
In that moment, I'll be yours again

My favorite time of year
When the air is crisp;
Death is bringing forth new life
And we are contemplating renewed love
Bridging the gap between distance and trust

I'll remember you
Because of the way you say my name
How you avoid my questions,
Then satisfy me with humor
In that moment, I'll be yours again

Time doesn't change,
The neighborhood our hearts dwell in
Or the cinematic scene we created,
When we crossed into our alternate reality
Happen upon me there, and I'm yours

A memory and a poignant promise; if only those two ships can once again re-cross in the night (pardon the cliché). The bridge between distance and trust... A very personal and profound thought Quin, and yet sounding this time like it will be on your terms, as it should be no doubt - cheers! - Dan
An idyllic scene to set the titular and metaphorical stage.

I really liked this piece. The imagery and descriptions are lovely. I really liked the use of the bridge metaphor throughout. The fourth stanza was my favorite, but there are a number of solid lines that stood out while I was reading.

I was going to quote some of the passages in this piece that grabbed me - I realized it's the whole piece. I bookmark special works such as this one.
I also think it's spotlight material.

This is simply beautiful. Perfect title, as used in the context of the poem and in relation to the poem, for it is subtly cinematic. Even more impressive to realize this is an OM.

Thanks much for sharing.

This is so delicate and light hearted though mentioning a Death, its etherical and delightful, a warm waltz of Words which i cannot resist. Much enjoyed the read!

a synonym for cinematic is picturesque and that's exactly what this whole piece is.
The visual impact of the landscape accompanied with your special words
make this easy on the eye.
congratulations on the light.

You captured the spatial imagery of this scene in such vivid detail, letting me see the scene though the authors eye, perfectly.

Hello enigmatic continuation,
I like the start, apparently, in mid thought or sentence 'And when ... '

The repeated promise: 'In that moment, I'll be yours again', surely that's a prelude to the ending line ... Does it stand alone or is it merged with the preceding line, I wonder ...

Thought provoking, visually enchanting and poetically intriguing. A well-deserved Spotlight, Thankyou.

In friendship,
Eric.

Hi there, Continuation;
the theme here is the "transmigration of souls." No physical love in heaven? No kissing and touching? No wonder my religious belief is less than lukewarm. I cherish the concept of soulmates meeting in an afterlife--on the Elysian Fields, of course. A beautiful poem that speaks of eternal love. Very nicely done. Congrats on the spotlight, :flower:

This is topical for me at the moment, so it touches a raw spot, as all good poems do. Sharing universal human emotion and thought. Good pick for the Spotlight.
