Feel the cooler weather now,
Touch the morning sky.
Sit on the edge of the day as it breaks.
Be quiet.
Alone.
Outside.

Who longs for something unknown?
Which of us is satisfied?
Once more the day has come and gone,
Tightly I close my eyes.

The moment I try holding onto,
Slips away into the night.
Remember, forget, find but not keep.
Smile.
Laugh.
Then cry.

You are free now,
Go be lovely -
But first kiss me goodnight.

I absolutely adored this poem!!
A fantastic title that speaks volumes on it's own,
backed up by some powerful verse...
my favourite line: 'sit on the edge of the day as it breaks'

Got a kind of "Let the bird fly free, and if it returns.." feeling from this piece Tobe. "Go be Lovely" speaks volumes though, and does conjure up so many wonderful; yet possibly poignant possibilities at the same time. Delightfully done and cheers! - Dan

Congrats on the spotlight. It's well deserved to be sure. Love the light hearted feeling of this write and the consistency of tone. Also appreciated your use of time and space appropriately placed throughout. I feel like reading this took me on a real day's journey and, in the end, I was right back home.
