For me, this beautiful Haiku can go in two directions: either it is the "smile" that the rain brings on a small child (like my newborn grandaughter...proud grandpa) or it can also be a personification on a small flower and the joy of an April shower. Jim, with barely six words, you have indeed captured that rare and elusive "Zen moment." I must "exalt"...but where in tarnation is the exalt button?!...oops, sorry!...LOL...

Really nice haiku. Very clever.

I saw it not as the smile of a child but the subtle smile of someone older, an affirmation of life in the face of many winters.

Either way, my exalt finger is itching like an amputated limb.

Throughout the whole absurd life I'd lived, a dark wind had been rising toward me from somewhere deep in my future, across years that were still to come, and as it passed, this wind levelled whatever was offered to me at the time”

littlest, indeed.

Funny what you find when you venture out of your comfort zone. Well deserved spotlight here.

reminds me too, of those that are lost.

This is a delightful poem.
