Twisting Dying sounds 4 part one (mature content)

Post by Mr Goth » February 1st, 2016, 5:03 pm

Authors note: another poet asked me if this series would come back since i came back well fans of the original hear you go!!!

Twisting Dying sounds 4: part 1 What saves?

Like an inkwell; the keeper of an ebony enigma
Spells out hidden dangers to those who choose to
To serve themselves to wolves on a silver platter
and those who consume too much elixir of life. stumbling
Within the waking jaws.

What to do with these hearts? Tossed like an abandon stuffy doll
Littering my mind as I walk through these childish thoughts
Not a whisper, not a whimper what could bring upon the end
Wasted dollar bills with a bright spark… As they all have been weighed

Not enough time today to clean the closet, hide the skeletons
Feed the bogeyman or pretend to love life… meanwhile
Watching them praying to a man that might as well been crucified on a .45
Except the devil and I had tea and talked about what really saves

Like an inkwell; the keeper of a sanguineous enigma
Spells out blood painted rooms has I sit and wait
To snatch those who stumble in my jaws
Just like my friend old hairy eight legs,

Shh…
I can save you

Put me on the save list M.G., there is definitely a lot of good stuff in the inkwell, like what Poe said that the most scary monsters are the ones in our minds. Much enjoyed! - Falstaff

The Shelob of the Ring Trilogy comes to mind at the conclusion here Chuck. Going back for another read because the initial impression is more strongly felt than spoken.
Loved the changing metaphor of the inkwell. My closet is full but we'll have a yard sale soon.
An ominous and descriptively deadly delight - cheers! - Dan

Cool read. I liked the metaphors going on. The overindulgence of life bringing souls blindly to their damning judgement, the devil waiting like a spider to feast upon them at their time of weakness. It does seem quite dark and kinda realistic, the mocking tone of the captor as he casually passes judgement on his victims with the staining ink of their own selfish actions. That's what I was thinking while I was reading it anyway. Nice work.
