All things go

Post by MBW » May 22nd, 2016, 9:39 pm

From birth the time is passing by.
Seen in rising and setting of the sun,
The coming and going of people we've known,
The changing here and gone of life
Never easily worries us much
Until we stop for a moment and frown
At current and past experience
And think of ourselves on a death bed
With hunger and regret in our head.
Though also in a moment like this we find
An urgent anxiety to fill the rest
Of our days with a fullness we know in dreams
And prioritize love above all.

MBW,
I like this very much. Have you ever read this at an open mic? If not, you should.

Oh wow, what a great OM. What perfect timing too, as I am currently caught between some crossroads, and time sure seems to be ever flying by. A wonderful reflection piece for me. Thanks for sharing at a much needed moment!

So soothing and gentle. Beautifully rendered and I found myself reading aloud much to the strange looks to my mother and sister lol. Gorgeous writing, it does sound so lovely and captivating. A terrific piece of reflection and good food for thought.
