You conjure up an image of the sculptor almost finished with his masterpiece...
A metaphor for potential love maybe, that still needs a little work.

And Persephone will live again in memoriam. Just lovely HE, and a fitting tribute to womanhood with all its wiles that we can only marvel at in both form and function. Cheers! - Dan

I enjoyed your marble maiden, but I was a little concerned about the sculptor's shaking hands. I always imagined a sculptor's working hands would be very steady and deliberate. I felt like I was right next to the sculptor as he carved.
Congratulations on the TPS Spotlight.

You know, I am always so amazed how statues can have such an impact on us.Thinking here of Rodin, one of my favorites. However, it is about the satisfaction the sculptor must feel as he or she works in this medium.I felt you captured this sense of wonderment and love perfectly..Beautiful spotlight..TY..Tangie..

Hey Hobo. This is frickin amazing dude! Congratulations on the spotlight. Well deserved friend. I must say that I feel somewhat inspired to follow in your footsteps. I was at the church our grandparents took us to when I was a kid earlier today. In front of the parish office, there is a 'Mary' statue out front. I used to walk by it on my way home from drinking late night coffee when I was in my late teenage years. On occasion I would stop and reflect on her at night. There is a local public high school a few blocks away. The guy who played 'The Churchinator', or the 'Church Lady' on Saturday Night Live attended his senior year there. I have heard stories about some of his inspiration. It was a re-occurring skit in the late 1980's. In any case, good job on your poem. Always a pleasure.
