paradise
Post
by aoeclald » August 29th, 2016, 6:28 pm
i imagine
driving in reverse
while the earth spins
and i am here
in space and time
forever
so i stop
and i see the sun rise and
i see the sun set and
i see the starry sky
and i remember
i am small
so i let go
and watch fear
melt into the sea
above me and
around me
the plants breathe and
the oceans swell and
the mountains grow
fueled by our little fears
reminding us of paradise and
the significance of
being happy.

Hi
Yes, the world is a beautiful place. It was given to us to make what ever we choose to make of it. So far, there has been some successes and some notable failures. What is important is that we recognize that the gears of time grind exceedingly small, all big things have a small beginnings.

It is what we make of it, often as not, and poetically couched with a sure hand AC. Good to read you again and cheers! - Dan

You've caught that feeling between grandiosity and insignificance. It's beautiful. I really enjoyed this, wouldn't change a thing.

Sounds like you put it in reverse with a heavy foot. Traveling backwards at the same pace the earth spins, can make things appear to stand still, and that can make us feel paralyzed by our monotonous daily tasks. But when the sunrises come from the west, we can find ourselves on a road that leads to innocence.
Very much enjoyed your beautiful words filled with passion!

Very much enjoyed. With all that is going on in the world, and our lives, it is important to take note of the beauty of life, the futility of it all, and just be.
I have found both freedom and safety in my madness; the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us.

This was so... nice to read. I mean that in exactly the warm and genuine feelings it brought up in me. It's not often stopping to consider your space in the universe and how truly small you are is a positive experience. A lot of the time it fills me with anxiety. Yet here, it seems good and necessary as well. Congrats on the spotlight :)
