Hello

Post by Layland Moon » October 9th, 2016, 4:17 pm

She moved
as I wanted her to.
In her owned glamour,
with peaches
in shades that shimmered my eyes

my skin foretold of heartbeats
forever
to my lightning day.

So fall from your city of gold
into the wonder-light within my face
captured is my heart once more
delicately feeding, breathing life
to honour your sensual, sighing pose.

A glance then shared,
our knowledge admitted
let us breath for each other
in a secret.

love is good, but to adore is sometimes more rewarding within ourselves. who doesnt want to venerate the object of affection? sometimes we wish to so much we resent our love for not constantly commanding our awe. but what have we done to make that happen? isn't it our job too...germinating that kind of reverence by treating dorothea like a princess despite evidence to the contrary? better still is being vindicated in our outpour by having her respond like she was that person all along. moving read.

Wow thanks for posting this Layland. You should post more often. I love how you form your descriptions. They are vivid.

Guessing from Dew's comment that this was a famous portrait LM.
It struck me prior to that, as a happenstance meeting of the most serendipitous type. A "two ships passing in the night" perhaps, to evoke that commonality we have all shared; far too infrequently.
Marvelously wrought and cheers! - Dan

I adored the wording in this poem, it stirs with a vibrant and sensual flair. The third verse invokes a poet's sigh in admiration..Well done..Tangie..

Many thanks. I just saw the most beautiful lady I had ever seen, and then put into words how I wish it was to her. Be lucky :)

In this piece there is deep longing, for a love beyond the speaker's reach. She is of glamor, of golden cities, and sensual beyond imagining. I can picture her well from your descriptions...

But this stanza was my favorite -
A glance then shared,
our knowledge admitted
let us breath for each other
in a secret.
It is shared, not only an unattainable love, but perhaps an unrequited one as well. Very reminiscent of Bernart de Ventadorn and troubadour lyrics...

Lovely work.

Fantastic. Wonderful writing, an impressive OM! I agree with the praise written by others before mr, /8 I'll leave it at this - I read this multiple times and enjoyed it more with each read.

Thanks for sharing!

Such a hush hush poem for breathing spirits playing words to each other over the times. I really liked it.

Now I could be a fan of writing such as this. It did what beautiful words are designed to do and that is creep into the reader that they may experience their own vision of such interaction. I loved reading you and look forward to more. Peace

A visual work of art, the moving human form, has attracted Narrator. A glance has been exchanged between them letting Narrator know that the awareness is mutual. Narrator ends with a wish:
let us breath for each other
in a secret.
Congratulations on TPS recognition.
