As the moon reflects sunlight
We reflect on our joys and sorrows.
Great word choices Mirthy

self-imposed exile or involuntary? I thought about that as I tried to apply the idea of exile from the sun to the feeling of abandonment by God or fate or luck or joy...i suppose in some respects it would have to be both. lovely

Perfect timing for this piece with the super moon being the closest to us in 70 years. Perhaps borrowed as it will be a long time before we see it again. Soothing this moment surrounded by discomforting possibilities. Perfect!

I love this - it could mean so much and so many things. To me it reads like the words of lovers, in the "borrowed light" of the moon, comforted and yet knowing that dawn will come...

Lovely

How did I miss this? We both are creatures of moonlight.
This is debussy all over again. Delightful.

Lovely mirth. I enjoyed this. Exile, purification (bathed in light), comfort. Much enjoyed.

Poets have been very partial towards moon in terms of writing something on life. Your penning of the sun is a welcome move here. But again, the moon comes into the play :). The concept of borrowed light is perfect in its placement here. Poignant and sharp as always. Great !!

A bit melancholy but very soothing at the same time.
