I absolutely loved this; it reminded me of my favorite author--Haruki Murakami. The way you used the surreal to express the very real feeling of adult loneliness was both touching and impressive. It takes guts to tackle content that isn't to the extremes of the spectrum (the happy-go-luckys, the utter sadness), but rather somewhere at the border of one or the other, helplessly. Sometimes, surrealism is the most honest, direct way of addressing important issues, an irony which makes it all the better.

Loneliness is something that everyone can relate to on some level. It is one of those universal feelings and it is sad that with all the people in the world loneliness can still be felt. I loved this piece, thanks for sharing

well done on the spotlight.
'Arms wrapped around himself' really accentuates the loneliness...

Cute, unusual story in which can be found a message. Oh how we all want to be loved and understood... Good job, AQP!

And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight...
