THE PALM OF MY HAND

Post by Louis Gibbs » May 14th, 2017, 2:45 pm

The palm of my hand …

Lines upon lines,

Shapes and symbols,

With meaning to the Mystic

But a mystery to me …

Only when pressed into yours

Can the magic be revealed.

I must admit I am clueless as to what you're singing 'bout. Still, your poem sounds great! It really does, whatever it means. Thanks.

Thanks for your comments, Versus, but if it hasn't been experienced, I'm afraid it is difficult to explain. Sorry.

If you have held hands with someone you love deeply, palms pressed together and felt the energy flowing between you, then yes, you have experienced the magic. Thanks again for your input.

Most cleverly composed, with the mystery and magic succinctly expressed-- much enjoyed Louis.

Hi Louis Gibbs! This is a very creative poem. When I started it, I had no clue where it was going, but the ending was absolutely perfect. The way you wrote this is amazing - how you combined two separate things and caused the one to impact the other. It felt like at the end of the fifth line, it took a 90 degree turn and flowed effortlessly into the true heart of the poem. Nice work!

Yes, when you hold your lover's hand as if your lifelines connected to an infinity and there is magic there.😁
