Night Of The Forsaken

Post by madz13379 » October 12th, 2014, 8:01 am

Once upon a once
Where everything happen for a reason
No wonder why love is always slaughtered !
Underneath the pale moon of treason

No wonder why you alone hear them
Creeping past sanity's line
When they breath so slow and heavily
Striking fear within your spine

Moving, lurking within every shadow
As the night shed it's blackened dress
For the night is but a forsaken widow
Witnessing the birth of a new death

Don't wait for a new day, it won't come !
The devious deeds wrought by your hand
Will slowly turn your fingers numb
Your eyes will run dry, your throat will feel sore

Tonight, you will scream till you can scream no more

Madz, this was genius! The metaphor of the forsaken widow unforgettable and I've read it three times to brand it in memory. Wondering now when the screaming starts, cheers!

hello,

Moving, lurking within every shadow
As the night shed it's blackened dress
For the night is but a forsaken widow
Witnessing the birth of a new death

this is so deliciously dark!!! I love it!!! great imagery, it gives chills!!

As dark as this is, I adore it! The rhythmic flow to the stanzas was slightly eerie and I really loved the use of exclamation for emphasis. Congrats on the spotlight!

Sorry that I've been away for quite a long while

I am very excited and I honestly didn't expect that my poem would reach the spot light zone.

I appreciate all of your comments.

Stay safe :)
