Blitzkrieg

We’ll stain with red, tomorrow’s dawn
As the blitzkrieg in our glory rolls
Our twisted swastika shall bear the mark
Of raw blood taken from innocent souls.

The hour of glory is upon us
As we ready ourselves to take on the charge
Those brave enough to put resistance
with acute suffering, their coffins will merge.

A bloody assault from both land and air
In constant motion, our fury will rage
Our heroic advance, will be no match
For petty soldiers, trying to engage.

The dust will flow at our wake
As we unleash a man-made storm
Thunder and lightning from our tanks will roar
We’ll carve the battlefield in a new form.

Humanity and compassion are worthless traits
For we will establish a new world order
A new race will emerge from the toils of our war
Ruthless, they will know no boundaries or border.

Tomorrow’s dawn awaits us
And we are ready to sacrifice for glory
History will be written for our glorified actions
In deep fear, the whole world will hear our story.

A strong and powerful start to the darkness board here. I thought presenting this from the nazi soldiers POV was a very powerful move. Had me hooked from that opening stanza.

Stellar title! It conjurs up so many ideas and possible directions from the off, and there's always something about that word.. It slips off the tongue wonderfully, regardless of its connotations.

A darkly humanistic perspective in places, at least that's how I read it, and I often get it wrong.. So sorry 'bout that.
