This is a painting I did for Easter (it took longer than I thought it would...) of myself and my brothers when we were younger, from a photo I found.

Nice painting. But you need an easter basket to hold all those eggs.

This is so beautiful, I just had to say something. I never could paint people at a distance. The colors and strokes of this piece are so soothing to me.. and something else, but I can't think of the word. But it's lovely. Excellent.

This is such a nice piece. The details are lovely, especially in the fence. The trees in the background are pictured so gorgeously. Overall this is just an endearing, breezy painting. Beautiful work.

Ohhhhhh, really nice! Like 'pistol said, kudos for the great work on the faces from a distance - each one has some subtle shading that really gives it some depth and emotion. I think the little snippet of insight is pretty cool too, as it gives the piece an even more humanized and lifelike feel knowing that this came from an actual photo from the artists past. Fun & well done!!

This is gorgeous! I especially like the background, the details of the trees/sky/flowers. This is incredible, RR, I am quite impressed with your skill and work.

This is so pretty, riverrose! I love how you've painted the scene. The light foreground contrasts perfectly with the dark, detailed, mysterious background. I love the look of the little girl right in the middle.

Eventually, I ventured into free verse.

I really like how you did the trees in this painting. :) What a lovely scene it is!

Beautiful work here. I am envious of those with talent in painting. It is something I always wanted to do, but just can't seem to get it from my mind's eye to the canvas. Much enjoyed and impressed. Congrats on the spotlight.

A beautiful piece! I am totally unable to paint or draw, I am void of any and all talent in that area, but that makes me appreciate it more I think! This is truly exquisite! I am so grateful that I got to view this and I need to spend more time viewing the board to see the art more often. A much deserved spotlight choice, congratulations!

I'm no artist, but I know what I like when I see it! This is very nicely done!

Picasso once said, "I has taken me a lifetime to learn how to paint as a child." I like your work here, enjoy your whimsical subject.

Congrats on the spotlight. I particularly like the trees and foliage with light filtering through, it reminded me of a mediterranean scene, lovely work RR!
