Triggered Resentment.

Post by SketchyQuick » April 27th, 2012, 10:16 pm

Triggered Resentment

I get angry when you smile
so proudly at things I do
when they're things you wouldn't blink at
if they were done by someone else.

It embarrasses me.

It makes me extra conscious
of how unusual it really is
for me to be doing anything at all.

It can be tuff to be type casted as the clown. No one likes to be laughed at all the time. The painful situation is well captured in this brief write. The lines breaks are well placed and really accentuation the raw feeling.

my response has to be "violent's womb".

A sharp observation...I never really thought of it that way. I love it when poetry not only moves but educated as well. Thanks for sharing.

Indeed an interesting perspective shared. Honestly though I could see being proud of my kid for every little thing he did despite not caring about anyone else.
