foxglove (Haiku)

Post by bumblebee » November 11th, 2013, 5:30 am

Silken mouthed dewdrops
Drifting upon Autumn pool
Snared on wary moss

Sorrows woven
heart worn..
sing of sadness
until hope brings Dawn..

I like the personification here. I'd never think of moss being wary, but it makes sense when you consider it. Thanks for sharing this well-written haiku.

foxy - I'm trying to picture dewdrops drifting on
that pool, with the moss fishing for them, knowing
they don't belong there....and.....are precious enough
for the moss' purposes....

Very subtle vision, written in cool wet ink....

I echo, Appleofmyeyes, version of "dewdrops entangled in the moss." A lovely Haiku, bumblebee.

'Silken mouthed' yes they are, and that's a lovely way of putting it. Foxgloves are one flower I always grow in my garden. Well done.

Lovely imagery here bumblebee, a well penned (w)rite worthy of the spotlight. Excellent first attempt of the Haiku style.

This is really beautiful. I love the imagery! You've evoked quite a lot in such few lines. Congrats on your spotlight!
