Storm Season comes once more by,
Majestic clouds cover the sky.
Lightning flashes, thunder it's voice told,
Tales of magic in days of old.
Energy flashes down sheets of light,
Now is the time for the gods to fight.
The power races down the mountain in streaks...
The foundation groans, the tower creaks.
A tree is hit in the lightning strike,
Now fairies dance in the fire light.
Off in the night, we hear a scream...
A goblin comes, awakened from it's dream.
Now the rain comes in a never-ending flight,
Spirits of air and water unite.
In the air, the powers collide...
And from their caves, the dragons glide.
Thunder rumbles through it's granite home,
A small door is opened, and out walks the gnome.
...In a storm, things are not as they seem;
When the lightning flashes and the thunder rolls...
Dream becomes reality... reality, becomes dream.

Re: Storm Season
This is a poem that I wrote back in the 80's and had published in the early volumes of Young Poets of America. Since I have picked up writing again, I thought that I would dust it off and post it here.

Re: Storm Season
That was a very good dusting off. I cant imagine what would have happened if it was lost forever.
Cheers!
