Zapping Ethnocentrism
I am a member of a tribe of Man
A special people in a special place
My tribe, the finest since the world began
Our people born to rule with steady hand
And everything we do is full of grace
I am a member of a tribe of Man
The heavens hold the promise of a plan
Our independence fierce on every face
My tribe, the finest since the world began
Our actions always bold and never bland
Our warriors dress for battle; shunning lace
I am the highest form of mortal Man
We never rest – our future will be grand
And all who shun our justice we erase
My tribe, infallible since we began
On hearing this the Zork from Neverland
(Their battle cruiser orbits out in space)
Exterminates the vermin known as Man
To try another species yet again

Oh, the conceit and self-praise in which man will indulge, Dan!
It is always the same with most of us--excluding us poets: self-praise, self-honoring, and self-worshiping. I suspect the Zork from Never-land won't succeed in creating a race of men that's different from this one because the mold is flawed, lol. Might the "Zork" be the god known as the pastafarian "Spaghetti Monster" et al?
Enjoyed your write, mucho; the title is very appropriate, too.

Well, well, well, dwells. Its seems you have just gone and wiped us off the face of the earth man. Literary Armageddon perhaps? As for the sex's; My n i p p l e s are still broken. I just hope that they saved all of our women and their working parts! In all honesty, it was very paternal and instinctual subject matter, and quite enjoyable, until the Zork came into the picture. Although I do love Sci-Fi! Always a pleasure.

Jerry, Brad, and HE! Pastafarians unite! (coincidentally I'm having the meatball sacrament tonight) :)
I think Hollywood has probably worn out the apes angle, and the whales had their chance with Atlantis, so that would leave...something new. Dogs would be nice but they have trouble holding tools. Thanks and cheers all! - Dan the misanthrope
