I write so much in disbelief these days
I was born in a beautifully protected shell of need
Need to survive
Need to provide
Need to make ends meet
Need to look over myself
Need to be looked over
Need to enjoy the moments
Need to appreciate
Need to smile
Need to push on and do what we have to
Need to not complain
Need to accept sad times
Need to celebrate the good times
Need to not place blame
Need to love the smallest of things
Need to never expect or ask for more than you deserve
When did needs get replaced by wants?
And when did wants get replaced by expectations?
And lastly...
When did expectations become a need?
To the youth...And the lost...The world before you that seemingly provides everything at a moment's notice...is younger than you are...You just don't remember because you grew up together. Take a breath and see the infinite beauty you have at your fingertips and appreciate...The entire purpose of all the amazing things afforded to you...To ease your needs...So you can focus on the beauty in yourself...in the world...focus on the soul and less on the inherent stresses of this place...It is the sole drive for why we built all of these beautiful conveniences...To free you.

Re: Wake up Neo
Very, very profound, dreamer! I'm rather at a loss for words, it is so wise. I guess all I can say is you've stirred up the waters of my mind and I'll be thinking about this for a while...

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight...

Keep calm and pass the puck to Zucc. LGR

Re: Wake up Neo
Sounds like an increasingly relevant theme, and I really enjoyed your take on this. I agree with INFPoet, I feel like I will be thinking about this for a while, too.
