There is a great tragedy behind this story. We get a narrow window into the man's past, and the questions rise - who did he kill, why did he do it, what does he think of it now? Is he living his last hours in regret, or is he proud of what he did?
This poem leaves me wondering what is the story behind the brave man with the sword... Very well done.
