Lovely word choices in this make it a wonderful poem to read and enjoy. Nice metaphor running through it too. Thanks for sharing it. Loved it.

Beautifully described imagery and powerful seasonal contrasts; skillful use of language and much enjoyed.

Very nice, the detail really reels one in with its previously stated use of language and placement. A gorgeously penned write and I love those last two lines mirroring almost a bit forlornly, and beautiful all the while.

"The crunch of a hungry squirrel that struggles to gather the last nut before the nightly snowfall" Such a fantastic sensory line to bring the poem together. I could smell the cold and hear the leaves. I also love the "thirsty wild."

Brilliant imagery. :) This was simply lovely and the emotional undercurrent surfaced at the end. Very nice job! :)

Beautiful write, and that last line really brings it home. Well done!
