Trust No One

Post by DanteWilde » May 15th, 2012, 4:25 pm

Be wary of the average person

Your relatives, your coworkers, your fellow train riders

They have insidious intent

You can see it in their eyes

Trust no one.

Their mediocrity is contagious

They will never understand the virtue of creation

They seek to devour your creativity

And s----- out new brands of shoes

Trust no one

You’re better off alone

You will gain nothing from their association

But a new collection of illusions and McDonalds coupons

Don’t even bother considering you know someone whose different

Get out while you still can

Trust no one

You’re better off alone

They are cancer.

MAY I NEVER BE PERFECT

Paranoia and cancer really come through form this one to me.
sometimes it IS safer to avoid the shadows.

Enjoyed both perspective and structure here, as someone who feels poetically detached, I can relate in parts, meadow

Some very interesting word behavior in this piece. I can understand not letting anyone steal your thunder or influence your thought's, behavior or moral's....but if I had never trusted anyone, I'm not sure how far I would have gotten in life....I do understand where your coming from though and know you are not alone....Some definite food for thought in this one....Interesting read, thanks for sharing....Musie

Strangely topical in these crazy times. Well done on a most deserving spotlight.
