Yet another beautiful rendering of sails and sea, Tangie. You have captured the movement and pressure of the canvas and the liquidity of the water in the wind, so well,. Keep these paintings coming - they are delightful.

This is a gorgeous piece of art! I echo nortan, you really captured movement, something that takes extreme talent.

Is this actually framed/put up somewhere? It definitely should be, it's gorgeous. I love the intricate details, the glossiness, the majestic scene being displayed. Awesome work!!

It is all about the colour and movement here, what a perfect compliment your artwork is to poetry, well done on the spotlight mx

Did you paint this, Tangie? I saw this in the spotlight, thought: "Ah, a poem based on an old seascape masterpiece!", looked for the poem and then realized that the painting WAS the masterpiece, and by one of our own TPS poets, nonetheless! Fantastic, I could feel the wind in the sails and smell the salt air just looking at this painting, it was so well done! Congratulations on the well-deserved spotlight for this painting - looking forward to seeing the new one, too!

Kathy

That's stunning Tangie!
It's like a sea storm paused in time with a beautiful ship and unknown fate.
I truly love this. You did a great job, and Congratulations on the much deserved Spotlight!

An excellent painting! The choppy sea is wonderfully rendered and the ship is lovingly depicted. I like the clouds too, especially the patch of blue, indicating that every cloud does indeed have a silver lining! Movement and drama here! My sister is an excellent painter (mainly in oils...portraits and animals) and my father was too. I have a great love of art and the history of art, but I have no talent as a painter. I content myself with being a photographer, as far as the visual arts go!

This renders me almost speechless. I love the complete image of brooding storm with a hint of serene blue sky. But what captures me in this beautiful painting is the textures and colours of the sea. The rising waves of slate grey and the foreboding muddy green depths, the motion of the waves captured just perfectly. Words and pictures my lady..do your talents know no ends?
