I can identify with the one on the right better. ' still some secrets I keep' -- sometimes it's difficult to say it out yea. Used to distrust everyone. fear. worry. wonder what they can do to me. that kind of distrust kills you inside.
'I write because I cannot bear to weep' --- i write and weep, and write some more to stop myself from weeping. But I like how we share something in common: expressing our emotions through words instead of tears, although sometimes I do weep. /guilty/ waste of tears sometimes.
Thank you for such a touching piece, and one that is so easy to identify with.

Re: I Cannot Bear (double villanelle)
You made this one look so much easier than it really is. To write one villanelle is no mean feat, it's a fiendish enough form on its own, but to write another alongside it with such parity of form and polarised meaning is exceptional.
Congratulations on the spotlight!

Excellent, both these poems read so smoothly and yet they are written within the constraints of the form, and ten syllables a line, something not easily done. Fine work, and emotive too, words that have spirit and intelligence.

thank you all for reading and commenting.
If at first you don't succeed, try second, third, or shortstop.

Wow, what an idea, two for the price of one...and such imagery in both.
I would be hard-pressed to say which I like the most. Kudos to the author
Job well-done.
